Refund policy
Last updated: October 21, 2026
We want Vita to feel simple and fair, including when you need to pause, cancel or ask for a refund. This policy explains how that works. If you have questions, email us at hello@joinvitahealth.com. A real person will answer.
The short version
- $20 physician consultation: fully refunded if you cancel before a physician reviews your assessment. Once a physician has reviewed it, the fee is non-refundable, whatever the outcome.
- Not prescribed? You're never charged for a plan or medication.
- Plans: 3, 6 or 9-month commitments, billed monthly. Your plan length is what locks in your lower price.
- Pause by request for up to one month at a time. Tell us why, and your care team will check in before your plan restarts. No auto-renewal: your plan ends after its last scheduled payment.
- Medical exception: if your physician stops or changes your treatment, you're released from the rest of your plan with no further charges.
- Medication can't be returned, but we'll replace anything that arrives damaged, incorrect or lost.
1. Physician consultation
Your one-time $20 consultation fee covers a licensed physician's review of your health assessment. If you cancel before a physician reviews your assessment, we'll refund the full $20. After a physician has reviewed it, the fee is non-refundable, whether or not treatment is prescribed, because the medical service has been provided.
Vita Health, LLC is not a medical provider. Medical services are provided by independent, licensed physicians, and every treatment decision is theirs.
2. How plans and billing work
- You only choose and pay for a plan if a physician prescribes treatment.
- Plans come in 3, 6 or 9-month terms. Longer terms have a lower monthly price, and that price is locked for your whole term, no matter how your dose changes.
- You're billed monthly, on the same day each month as your first plan payment. Each payment covers that month's medication, supplies, shipping, physician follow-ups and care-team messaging.
- Your plan length is your commitment: a 3-month plan is 3 monthly payments, a 6-month plan is 6, and a 9-month plan is 9. That commitment is what lets us offer the lower monthly price.
- When your term ends, your plan ends and billing stops. Plans don't renew automatically. About 10 days before your plan ends, we'll remind you to book a provider review. If you and your provider decide to continue, you can start a new plan that begins right when your current one ends.
3. How to cancel
- Online: log in to your account and follow the cancel option for your plan.
- By email: send a message to hello@joinvitahealth.com from the email on your account.
We'll confirm your cancellation by email. To stop your next charge, cancel at least 2 business days before your next billing date. Once a month's order has been sent to the pharmacy, it can't be stopped or refunded, because your medication is prepared just for you.
When your plan ends, there's nothing to cancel. Billing stops automatically after your last scheduled payment.
Before your plan ends, the remaining payments for your plan still apply, and your medication will keep shipping as scheduled. You can request a pause instead (see below). If the medical exception applies, you're released right away.
4. Pausing your plan
Life happens. You can request a pause of up to one month (one billing cycle) at a time. Here's how it works:
- Tell us why when you ask, like travel, a surgery or procedure, a side effect you want to talk through, or a tough month.
- Nothing is charged or shipped while you're paused.
- Your care team will follow up before your next billing date to check in and plan your restart.
- Your plan picks back up the next month. Pausing moves your plan's end date back; it doesn't shorten your commitment.
- Need more than a month, or is the reason medical? Your physician will review it and may apply the medical exception below.
5. The medical exception
You won't be held to the rest of your plan, and no further payments will be charged, if:
- your physician stops, changes or declines to renew your treatment for medical reasons;
- your physician determines the medication isn't right for you, including because of side effects; or
- you become pregnant or are planning a pregnancy.
Tell your care team, and we'll close your plan. Any payment for a month that hasn't been sent to the pharmacy yet will be refunded.
6. Medication returns and replacements
Prescription and compounded medications can't be returned or resold once they're dispensed. That's for your safety and required by pharmacy law, so dispensed medication isn't eligible for a refund.
If your order arrives damaged, incorrect, not temperature-safe, or doesn't arrive at all, contact us within 7 days of the delivery date (or the expected delivery date) with a photo if you can. We'll work with the pharmacy to replace it at no cost to you. Please don't use medication that looks damaged or was left too warm. Contact us first.
7. Add-ons and bundles
Add-ons and bundles also need a physician's approval. If an add-on in your bundle isn't prescribed, you'll pay the regular price for your base plan, and we'll refund any difference already charged. If your physician stops an add-on, it's removed from your plan and billing going forward.
8. How refunds are paid
Approved refunds go back to your original payment method within 5 to 10 business days. Your bank may take a few extra days to post it.
9. Questions or disputes
If something doesn't look right on your bill, please reach out to us first at hello@joinvitahealth.com. Most issues can be fixed within a day or two, much faster than a bank dispute.
10. Your rights under state law
Some states give you additional cancellation or refund rights. If your state's law gives you more rights than this policy, those rights apply.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes won't affect the locked monthly price of a plan you've already started. We'll post updates here and change the date at the top.
